BOOKS FOR AFRICA

20th ANNIVERSARY GALA

On September 12, Books For Africa will celebrate 20 years of service and the shipment of 20 million books to the children of Africa.  This momentous anniversary will be marked by an African-themed gala at the Minnesota History Center starting at 6 p.m.

We hope you will join us and emcee Kerri Miller, host of Minnesota Public Radio's Midmorning and Talking Volumes. Our festive evening will feature hors d'oeuvres and a full dinner, as well as an African fashion show, African music, and a market with African crafts and wares. Ambassadors and representatives from many of the 38 African countries that we have served will also add to the international atmosphere.
