Help me to end the book famine in Africa

In 2006 and 2010, I embarked on the mission of shipping a 20-foot and 40-foot containers of Books to the then Delta State Polytechnic at Ozoro and then College of Theology & Seminary at Irri, Isoko South Local Government, in Delta State, Nigeria.

Just as any other part of the Continent of Africa, books are a rare commodity for school age children and adults. The private and public schools are under funded to acquire books and other educational materials to meet their educational needs.

During the above 2006 and 2010 projects, it was carried out by a request placed on a banner attached to the prototype 40-foot container used in the shipment. Donations were received from the public until the container was actually full before shipment. See photographs below:

This year (2024), the project is taking a different dimension. Math & Science Academy, Inc. will team with Books for Africa to execute the project. Please, join me in this effort to place a book in the hands of children at the Elementary and Secondary School level at Aradhe Community, in Isoko North Local Government Area, in Delta State, Nigeria.

Whether they are inside the classroom or under a tree, the goal is to put a book in front of them and they will not go after drugs and we might be able to save one out of ten.

I visited Nigeria during the past Thanksgiving break. During my visit, I consulted with Community Leaders about their shared responsibility of the project. They are responsible for collaborating with the State Department of Education for a duty free delivery of the container of books upon arriving at the Port in Lagos, Nigeria

Our evangelism and soul winning effort is to insert a soul winning bible track inside every book that is shipped and that goes into the community. God is able and the Holy Spirit will touch some of them to give their lives to Christ in the process of going through those tracks inside the books.

Individually, I can only do so much. This is why I need your assistance. Books for African has given me a quote of fourteen thousand dollars, ($14,000), to provide a 40-foot container of academically sorted books with some laptops from United State to Lagos, Nigeria.
