2020 Recipient Feedback Survey Shows BFA Books Are of High Quality and Very Useful
Books For Africa has just completed its fifth consecutive year of enhanced post-shipment feedback surveys! These surveys collect direct feedback from BFA book recipients, allowing us to assess where we have been most successful and where there is room for improvement.
This year’s survey received responses from 38 recipients in 16 countries. The survey found that recipients overwhelmingly rate BFA books as useful and of high quality, with 80% of recipient organizations seeing increased foot traffic since the books arrived.
Now that we can look back over five years of data from 176 recipients in 33 countries, we have seen positive progress in a number of areas. Most notably, we have seen an increase of nearly 20% in recipients strongly agreeing that BFA books will have a positive impact on their community, with the number of recipients agreeing or strongly agreeing with this statement consistently at or near 100%. Furthermore, by listening to feedback from recipients, BFA has decreased the percentage of recipients who received some books they deemed irrelevant from 23% to 13%.
Recipient feedback allows us to make sure we are sending the right high-quality, relevant materials, and that they are being utilized as effectively as possible by recipient schools and libraries.
