Books For Africa’s Annual Kilimanjaro Society Reception in Minnesota

The annual Kilimanjaro Reception took place in Minnesota on August 18, hosted by Joni Sussman, BFA Board President, and Peter Sussman. Fifty Kilimanjaro Society members enjoyed an African dinner by Chef Isaac Owens of Kalahari Foods, South African wine by Bob Marx of Amara Wines, and music by DJ Salif Keita.

Joni Sussman and Tom Warth, BFA Founder, presented the Kilimanjaro Society award to Partners With Ethiopia, represented by Ingrid Olson and Dick Augustine.

The Container Captain award was presented to Lang Dibba, Director of the One Million Books For The Gambia Initiative.

Kilimanjaro Society members donate $1,000 or more to BFA annually, and are located worldwide.
