BFA Sponsors World Literacy Summit, attends World Expo Presentation

Books For Africa participated in the 2023 World Literacy Summit in Oxford, United Kingdom in April. BFA was excited to sponsor this great event, and Founder Tom Warth and Executive Director Patrick Plonski attended and hosted a Books For Africa booth at the summit. 

Plonski also represented BFA at the 2027 World Expo Presentation for the United States in Paris, France on his travels. BFA is representative of Minnesota's international connections, and our relationships with the African diplomatic corps give us a great opportunity to advocate for Minnesota as an ideal option to host the 2027 World Expo!

Key meetings on the trip included US Ambassador to France Denise Bauer, several African ambassadors based in Paris, Better World Books, French book supplier ADIFLOR, Barefoot Books, Book Aid International (London), and a wide range of African NGO’s seeking books for distribution in Africa.
