Books For Africa Releases FY 2020 Annual Report

Books For Africa has released its FY2020 Annual Report! The report details some of the major successes in a challenging year: shipping our 50 millionth book, assisting schools and medical providers amid the Covid-19 pandemic, and stocking libraries from Togo to Tanzania!

As everybody knows, 2020 created many difficult situations. With your generous support, we overcame those challenges, worked with port closures and social distancing requirements, and achieved our goals despite the unprecedented circumstances! We continued to get the extremely positive feedback and indicators that BFA is known for, with a platinum rating from Guidestar and our ninth consecutive four-star rating from Charity Navigator. Recipients across Africa reported again that the books we provide are high quality and will be beneficial to their learning community. And we even achieved some things we have never done before, through partnerships with Lerner Publishing, the U.S. Department of Defense Humanitarian Relief Program, and UPS.

We are pleased to share with you this detailed report of our activities for yet another year, and look forward to what 2021 will bring!
