Books For Africa Conducts Site Visits in Nigeria

Books For Africa Board President-Elect Mike Essien was recently in Nigeria conducting site visits for past and potential future book recipients. There, he met with various Akwa Ibom state officials as well as officials in Imo state, a location where books have been sent in the past and that may receive more book shipments in the future.

One such stop was at TopFaith Schools, where Mike and several officials toured the former book recipient school. Check out the below video for some interviews and scenes from the visit.

Mike also stopped at Anua Hospital, where he delivered a tablet pre-loaded with the Merck Medical mobile app for use by health care providers. These tablets are a result of BFA’s strategic partnership with Merck and enable practitioners to access a wealth of medical resources at their fingertips, even without an internet connection. You can see this delivery in the video below! Anua Hospital is another potential future book recipient.
