Books For Africa Honored with Africa Supply Chain Excellence Award

The prestigious Africa Supply Chain Excellence Awards were recently announced at a gala held in Johannesburg, South Africa. These awards, which are now in their third year, recognize the vital role played by the supply chain management profession, and honor and celebrate the outstanding achievements of organizations and individuals working in the industry in Africa.

Books For Africa took top honors in this year’s Unique Supply Chain Projects category, for its mission of collecting, sorting and shipping donated books to countries across the continent. The Africa Supply Chain Excellence Awards judges wished to recognize the profound impact BFA has had on education and literacy rates in African countries.

Not only do these awards promote world-class excellence in supply chain management, they also showcase professionalism and drive awareness of the need to drive “green” supply chains and ensure that all components are sustainable and environmentally responsible.
