Concordia Language Villages Blog Highlights BFA Publishing Initiative

Concordia Language Villages' WorldView blog ran a post highlighting two of BFA's initiatives - BFA Publishing and the Girls Empowerment Collection - for their effort in using language and culture to build a love of reading. The BFA Publishing initiative provides custom-printed books in the language of the recipient's choice, while the Girls Empowerment Collection provides books by, for and about African and African-American girls and women, so that young readers can see themselves reflected in the stories and find inspiration.

CLV's WorldView blog is a blog spotlighting language and culture in the world today. Guest authors are invited to post about how their lives or work intersect with language and culture issues. The blog is run by the Concordia Language Villages, a series of language camps based in Minnesota, where children and adults are exposed to immersion-based teaching.
