BFA Board Member Fatima Lawson Appointed to Governor's Council for MLK Day

We are proud to announce the appointment of Books For Africa Board Member Dr. Fatima Lawson as a member of the Governor’s Council on the Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday. Members serve a three-month term to guide efforts on the annual official state celebration of the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday. This years theme for MLK Day celebrations is “For Our Children.”

This is Dr. Lawson’s second gubernatorial appointment, as she currently serves on the Council for Minnesotans of African Heritage.
