BFA Receives Guidestar Platinum Seal of Transparency

This week, Books For Africa (BFA) was awarded a Platinum Seal of Transparency, the highest level of recognition from Guidestar, the world's largest source of information on nonprofits.

The Guidestar Seals of Transparency indicate that a nonprofit has provided key information in its profile. The Platinum Seal is awarded to nonprofits who, in addition to information about their board, staff and finances, also share metrics about their progress and results. Now our community members and potential donors can find in-depth information about our goals, strategies, capabilities and progress.

BFA has a longstanding commitment to transparency. Whether by publishing financials on our website and annual report, or collecting and sharing recipient feedback, we want to be open with our partners and donors about our process and the difference we're making.

Recent metrics shared reflect BFA's success and growth over time, as well as the positive impact on the communities that receive our books.
