MLK Day of Service Volunteers Show Up in Force

Books For Africa has a long tradition of hosting large volunteer groups on MLK Day, and this year local media in Georgia turned out to hear more from BFA staff and the nearly 100 volunteers that joined us for this important day of service.

Dr. King’s advocacy for nonviolent activism, and his role in the Civil Rights Movement, set a shining example of leadership. On a day that we celebrate that leadership, BFA volunteers sorted and packed books that will help empower the next generation of leaders in Africa.
