Students from Upward Bound in Ohio Volunteer at BFA Warehouse

Volunteers from Upward Bound in Ohio sort and pack BFA books for shipment to Africa.

This enthusiastic group of high school students came to the Books For Africa's Atlanta warehouse from the Upward Bound Program at the College of Mount St. Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio. Director Christopher Goins led his group around Atlanta in July, visiting colleges and performing volunteer work. The group joined the Books For Africa warehouse staff for a morning of sorting and packing donated books and school supplies.

Upward Bound is a pre-college program administered by the U.S. Department of Education and the University of Cincinnati. The program is designed to motivate and provide academic skills for eligible students interested in pursuing higher education.
