Students help others, give new life to old textbooks
College textbooks have a short life. Old editions languish unused or are thrown away. One group at Western Nebraska Community College is putting those books to good use.
The WNCC Muslim Student Association asked professors and students if they were planning on discarding their old editions to reconsider and donate the books to them. They wanted to send the books to Gambia, the home country of many of the MSA students, to be used in their schools.
