The Sir Emeka Offor Foundation Signs $400,000 MOU with BFA to Distribute 32 Containers of Books Throughout Nigeria

BFA Executive Director Pat Plonski and Board Member Mike Essien were in Abuja, Nigeria, recently where they signed off on a $400,000 Memorandum of Understanding with the Sir Emeka Offor Foundation to ship 32 containers of BFA books to Nigeria in the months ahead.

"Signing this agreement advances a personal commitment to education in Nigeria by supplying books for students and teachers to a significant number of disadvantaged schools across Nigeria," said Sir Emeka Offor, founder of the foundation. "Books are the foundation of a strong educational system and I am proud to accomplish this in collaboration with the philanthropic efforts of Books For Africa. I wholeheartedly endorse the mutual goal of helping to improve the book situation in African schools."
