Books For Africa is a 501(c )(3) nonprofit organization serving as the largest shipper of donated text and library books to the African continent. Books For Africa has received the highest rating from Charity Navigator.

Our sea containers hold approximately 25,000 books per 40-foot container and cost approximately $11,000 on average to ship, which is about 50 cents per book.
