Read the story of the inception of G.L.E.A.N. for Tanzania, a global network of students and teachers working to improve the lives of students, and how Books For Africa is helping them achieve their goal, in the works of G.L.E.A.N. Co-founder Amir Doctry.

Through partnership with Books For Africa, the Sierra Leone Book Trust recently distributed over 100 cartons of books to nine different schools in the Wellington community in Freetown.

With the arrival of a recent book shipment to The Gambia, a ceremony was organized to celebrate the occasion, attended by senior officers from the Ministry of Justice and Basic and Secondary Education. Representatives from Armitage Senior Secondary School were also in attendance. This latest book arrival to The Gambia was coordinated by Books For Africa board of directors member Lang Dibba, who manages the "Million Books to The Gambia" initiative.

Books For Africa is pleased to introduce its new digital newsletter, released just in time for Giving Tuesday 2020! This special digital edition includes video of our Global Celebration and the journey of our 50 millionth book as it makes its way to Africa.

The Books For Africa Minnesota warehouse recently had the pleasure of hosting Purchasing Manager Ken Fitzgerald (pictured at left) from Walker Bookstore, who remitted a substantial donation of books!

Books For Africa has just completed its fifth year of recipient surveys! The survey found that recipients overwhelming rate BFA books as useful and of high quality, and the five years of data has shown some very positive trends in usefulness and relevance of books delivered!
