Books For Africa recently reached a new milestone—25 million books sent to children in 46 African countries since 1988. Books For Africa supporters celebrated by sorting and packing books at the two BFA warehouses in celebration of International Literacy Day on Error: source does not appear to be markup.. BFA Executive Director Pat Plonski and Board President Tom Gitaa were in South Bend, Indiana, in early September touring the Better World Books warehouse and meeting the staff to say thanks for all of the great support BWB has provided over the years. Better World Books is our largest single donor and our largest provider of university books. Thank you, Better World Books!

The Jack Mason Law & Democracy Initiative of Books For Africa recently was featured in “Share A Dream: A Summary of Sharing 2010,” a document that summarizes the incredible charitable work performed last year by the law firm Robins, Kaplan, Miller & Ciresi (RKMC). RKMC provides the most financial support of any of our supportive law firms to the Jack Mason Law & Democracy Initiative. They have been our top donor since the program was created three years ago.
